First update of the week!

Only a few weeks left of preparations before my first comic show of the year, UK Web & Mini Comix Thing ‘09! Book 2 should actually be out this year, just getting some pinups by friends and some bonus content prepped! I can also let you know that Joe Dunn, webcomic machine behind Joe Loves Crappy Movies will be writing the forward. I’m stoked! Plenty of talented folks from webcomics and the UK small press scene will be there so be sure to pop down. I’ve signed up to doing panels this year, so you’ll even get to ask questions!

Now you ever wanted to win heap loads of swag (prizes) by just drawing something? To celebrate Eyeskream’s 5 anniversary all the creators have chipped in and donated merch, comics, sketches and cameos to whoever draws the coolest origin story of ‘Skreamie’ the Eyeskream mascot, more details on the Eyeskream site. A full set of LT merch is in the prize bundle, plus a free zombie cameo.

More info later in the week on Book 2, when I’ll be showing Brandon J Carr’s beautiful cover art in all its glory finally.

I know it’s not a finished page but I thought you’d all prefer to see something rather than nothing.

The last week of the day job really has been a kick in the balls (didnt get home tonight until gone 9:30pm).

I’ll get on with the inking and such asap with much of this weekend set aside to get ahead to stop this crap happening every week.

Well here it is, the final page of the chapter. I like how it came out, as I tried something new with the inking.

My homeboy Phil Spence who does the ninja-riffic Ninja Bunny just hit strip #300 and if that wasn’t cool enough its in full colour (a first for Ninja Bunny i believe) but also a new shiny website went live too, with new merch in the store, a donation wallpaper and some cool bits and bobs.

Also you’ll notice this week I added which shows I’m booked up for in the UK, most recently is Comiket at Comica, hosted by Paul Gravett and the ICA (swanky!) I’ll be there with LT books and Dave minicomics sharing with Ninja Bunny’s Phil.

This weekend is Thought Bubble Festival in Leeds. Last years show was very fun and great for getting the LT gospel out, lets hope it’ll be as fun too. Pop down if your local. Some of the great guns of Small press and Indie comics will be there too!

I won’t be trying for a second update this week to get myself sorted for the weekend, but expect Chapter 8 to start on Monday.
