Welcome to the resuscitation of Little Terrors! – the webcomic that just won’t die. Over the last few months I’ve considered call it a day on LT whilst being stricken with a lack of enthusiasm for the hand full of fully scripted pages I had.

But no.

Little Terrors! has at least another 10 chapters of plot of just the original story left, so I felt it was unfair to the characters and more importantly you loyal readers who have followed LT since day one (March 2006). Instead of battling through part of the plot I’m not happy with I have left the end of Chapter 9 to one side, to be attacked at a suitable time. Jamie and Aaron’s defense of the cottage plus importantly Dwayne’s capture by the RAF need resolving, this will happen when the plot fits without hopefully just tagging it along to the end of the comic. Dwayne and these guys do have an important part to play in the coming chapters so I hope to get out of the rut by drawing and writing my way forward.

Enter Chapter 10. The plot and basic idea was drafted originally in 2007 as a potential spin off to LT, featuring only some of the lesser characters and the greater universe. Then to my surprise I decided it was a tale to be told easily with more heavy weight characters. Jonas’ passing gave me this chance. Hopefully many of you readers won’t be too upset to see after a long year of the comic he’s back, but I do promise this isn’t a simple re-con/shower scene.

Moving forward the goal is to update the comic in chunks of plot, whether this is 2 pages of 5, each  Monday you guys will have some form of fix of LT. This will allow for if need be an update to help the flow of the plot, something the previous schedules I felt hindered.

Hold onto you seats and welcome to Hellview Drive.

MCM Expo, is one of the largest events in the UK convention scene. It’s attendence is made up traditionally of cosplayers and manga heads, or a few people wanting tv and film stars autographs. This time, the comics village had a smallpress/webcomics prescence.

Here is my report of the two days of madness.

I woke up stupidly early on the Saturday with only a few hours sleep, a quick train into London and onto the underground. As soon as I got to London Bridge station I was suddenly surrounded with hundreds of teenagers dressed as Naruto characters or carrying Buster swords or Key swords.

By the time I got to the convention it had opened, with queues going round a massive part of the entrance, thankfully a quick wave of my pass I wandered straight in.

I was greeted by my stall buddy for the weekend Claude TC, who was more chirpy than our last table share at Thought Bubble, Leeds. The day went off to a great start, the hall was packed, people seemed interested in our wares, by about 1pm I’d made my table cost and travel back.

atthetable

Just before lunch we started on the beers, myself having a couple across the day, which i think relaxed me from laughing at every fat middleaged cosplayer.

By the end of the day my sales was near enough my highest ever. With a big grin on my face we headed to the nearest pub, the Fox. A few cocktails and some food later we were all gathered round tables in the garden talking about the day. Marc and Anna, joined by McKelvie reappeared with the shows guest Mr Warren Ellis. Despite not reading a great selection of his work I did sit and have a chat with him, by about 11pm I’d missed my train but didn’t care! A quick move to the hotel bar and the senseless babbling continued till about 1am where the kind gentleman took his leave of us.

An hour of searching and I found myself a hotel room to sleep in.

Sunday came too soon, with a quick shower and freshen up I headed across to the show, which was far more quiet than the first day. It was a fair bit less busy all day but I enjoyed the less hectic day to go with my sore head :)

After the show we headed back to the Fox, I enjoyed some food with the likes of Marc, Mr Allison, James Turner, Jake and Oliver and that Ninja Spence.

We all parted ways and I went home with a big smile on my face.

Also I had the pleasure of meeting: Paul Duffield, Kate Brown, Gary Northfield and Sarah McIntyre. I just wish I’d had more time to see everything!

EDIT: Also huge thank you’s to Emma, Pud  and Anna for their organising the comics village with such awesome skills! :D

Donation Drive 2009

Between leaving my previous job in January and moving in freelance work I have found more time to put into Little Terrors! Moving forward I want to make even more of an effort for you guys but it seems to come at a cost, but of course with extra benefits to you, my readership.

I’m going to update every weekday from tomorrow. That’s Monday to Friday!

To keep me updating so often I’ve come up with a way to get you guys something for your donations and store purchases, each donation of over £10 (about $15 stateside) or store sale over that I’ll draw a custom sketch for you. All you have to do is say what you want me to doodle for you in the comment field on paypal.

If we can raise enough to keep things afloat (combined with my freelance work I’m doing) I’ll be able to  pump out more of the comic quicker and more importantly attend more shows in the coming months.

My site stats have always shown my readership to be largely made up of your fine folks in Northern America (USA and Canada included) so it has always been my goal to come to a show to see all you fine folk in the flesh!

Over the next few days the website will have yet another facelift with some new features, more pages about the mythos I’ve created for the backdrop of the comic and the characters in that world.

By the end of March I will be also working on a bonus chapter which will be made avaliable to donators first to say thank you, this will be 16 pages of comic before the rest of the world sees it! So get donating now.
Thanks for all your support in advance guys,

Jon x

Well installing stuff on the new Mac hasn’t been easy, unfortunately for me my CS3 doesn’t like the change of computers, so I’m currently sourcing a new copy.

Until then I’m gonna start hand pencilling and scanning pages tonight so you all get to enjoy some comics finally.

Thanks for being patient guys.

Happy New Year readers, the comic will return tonight with the first page of the new year.

Updates over xmas were halted by my Mac being lame and i’ve just about configured up the new one (its so shiny and pretty!)
My new years resolutions are to update more often (ho ho!) and to get home from work more promptly, lets see if either happens.

Jx

One of my greatest heroes passed yesterday. Oliver Postgate one of the duo responcible for such great shows as Bagpuss and Ivor the Engine and the less popular, but my favourite Noggin the Nog.

A passing of a truly inspring man, without such rich storytelling and illustrations from Peter Firmin I doubt I would have less hooked on animated programs and comics as a child.

Rest in peace.

After enjoying the intimate show last year I felt I had to attend again this year. Not only was the experience as an exhibitor great there was lots of extremely friendly people coming through the doors.
This year was very much the same, but on a larger scale, without loosing any of that charm the first

year had.

Right so last night my host said the site would be down for 10 minutes, 23 hours later and the site is back, minus a few days worth of comments :(
But to celebrate Brandon gave me Tuesdays comic and todays, so scroll back if this page makes no sense…

I’m gonna be working on the sites look over the course of the week so watch out for changes!

B tells me the next page will be Tuesday, with a Tues/Thurs update schedule till the end of the chapter, then onto Chapter 6 with me behind the helm.

Three updates in one week! Woohoo! I told my trainer I could do it if I pushed hard enough. Next week the strip goes back to two updates since I’ll also be working full-steam on another project (more on that later) and, of course, fighting imaginary monsters in shopping carts outside the grocery store after hours (we will never speak of this again).

Glad to see some comments on the last strip…shame that they came only from the author and some crazy person who stalked me at Wizard World Chicago. But hey, writers and stalkers are better than nothing, right? RIGHT?

Enjoy.

Ewwwwwwwww!

I love drawing this messy stuff.  Luckily for me, there’s a decent amount of it in this story.

Sorry for the lack of updates last week, by the way.  Bad juju all around led to an impromptu vacation for all involved (even the site itself!) and now we’re back on track.  It’s my intention to make up for it by updating three times this week!

Mwa ha ha! I have taken over!

Chapter Five belongs to Brandon J. Carr!  Well, halfway.  Jon still wrote the thing.  I’m just illustrating it.  It’s sort of an origin story and sort of a future story and sort of an awesome story (minus the sort of). Sit back and enjoy the ride!

Hey Folks, just a week more left of the chapter (which may mean two updates next week if i feel its needed).

Then onto the next chapter which will look a little different… More on that next Wednesday!

I’ve got a guest strip up today for Wes Molebash’s You’ll Have That, one of the most amusing reads at the moment for me.

Be sure to check out the archive as well as my guest strip :)
Edit: Be sure to check tomorrow for the delayed update (sketching takes it time with these complex pages coming up to round off the chapter…

Well its up!

In preparation for the UK Winter comic shows I’m trying to sell the last of the Year One Books at Tshirts to make way for new stuff. So what i ask is you all go mad and get a book and a tshirt if you dont already, as once the tshirt is sold out, its gone for good. Of course you save £3 when you buy both, so get rolling :)
I have about 3 or 4 designs in my head, I’ll be putting em up for people to give their opinions sometime next month.
